Three Bears or a trio of Goldilocks

Well I finally got a few minutes of no interruption.

So time now to reveal the fun that was three visitors from the UK. This being my second visitation from over the Pond it was a bit later in the Fall season and somewhat cooler. Finding interesting things for visitors to do is one thing, but late in the year and three generations at the same time was definitely a bit of a challenge.

Not being the faint of heart kinda guy, it had been suggested by my good spouse that tree walking or Zip Lining might be a fun thing for the two younger ones in the trio. Never having had the opportunity, or for that matter even thinking about doing such a thing, I was intrigued to say the least.
The Aerial Experience was soon to be mine, and the relatives too of course. As with the previous niece we did other entertaining things like eating Beaver Tails etc. However this was the most testing day of the visit as it included snowflakes being blown in your face by high winds whilst being up a very tall tree!
Soon after arrival, our adventure began with being kitted up with a seat and waist harness combination. Attached to these were two carabineers each on a length of webbing and a third item on its own rope with the wheel mounted carabineer, this would allow the individual to stay safely attached to a cable stretched from tree to tree and yet allow them to travel from one platform to another. After a short walk up a long hill we arrived at an instructional area where we had the Do's and Don't's of the safe way to move through the course before us starting with a ten meter ladder to climb to the first platform.

Well they went home tired and happy.

And so as I put up this blog edition the weather outside has turned to WINTER with a vengeance, it is now a winter wonderland for some and something to be endured by others, I am of the former so that may be my next entry.
